The City of Springfield has 40+ pan tilt zoom Camera's located throughout the city, 15 of them located in the downtown area. The DPW uses the viewing technology to get a real time look at resident and business complaints or concerns along with being able to monitor:

• Traffic light configurations
• Traffic backups
• Road closures
• Construction projects
• Snow plow progress
• Road conditions
