Westfield Starfires Baseball Team to play annual “Summer Classic” at Forest Park
Join us on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. as the Westfield Starfires take on the Worcester Bravehearts at the historic Walker Grandstand in Forest Park.
The fun begins at 2:30 p.m. with:
- Free Youth Baseball Clinic led by Starfires players and coaches
- Live music by the Frank Manzi Band
- Food and beverages available from Palazzo Café and White Lion Brewing
Admission is free! Bring the family and enjoy an afternoon of baseball, music, food, and fun at one of Springfield’s most historic ballparks.
Dive-In Movie Night - Forest Park Pool - June 30, 2026 - FREE for all Springfield residents!
Join us on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 (Rain Date: Wednesday, July 1) as we kick off the 2026 public pool season with a family-friendly evening at Forest Park Pool.
Free admission to Forest Park.
The celebration begins with a free Neighborhood Pool Party from 5:00 PM–8:00 PM at Forest Park Pool. Springfield residents can enjoy swimming in the pool, splash pad access, yard games and activities, live music featuring local musician Alex Rohan, and refreshments.
Staff will also be on-site issuing free summer pool passes. Guests planning to visit Springfield public pools this season are encouraged to stop by to register.
At 8:30 PM, guests are invited to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic items and head to the field next to the pool for a screening of Finding Nemo.
This event offers an evening of swimming, music, games, and a movie under the stars.

Special Tennis in the Parks – For Springfield Youth Only!
Springfield Parks and Recreation is excited to team up with Tennis in the Parks, guided by a USTA-approved coach! Designed for beginners and first-time players, this program makes learning tennis fun and easy through play.
Participants will develop skills to serve, rally, and play, using age-appropriate rackets, modified tennis balls, and engaging activities designed to help players learn the game quickly. Plus, every player attending their first session will receive a new racquet and ball to keep!
