Mayor Domenic J. City Councilors Melvin Edwards and Zaida Govan, and School Committee member Barbara Gresham, who all serve/lead on their respective Neighborhood Councils, also attended.

Neighborhood representatives were provided updates on various regulatory changes in the city, grant programs updates and highlights of how the various federal grant funds have been utilized to make physical upgrades and offer quality programming and services throughout city neighborhoods. Speakers included CDO Tim Sheehan, Public Works Director Chris Cignoli, Deputy Development Officer Tina Quagliato Sullivan and Deputy Director of Planning Phil Dromey.

Mayor Sarno stated, “It was great to hold our annual neighborhood council dinner and presentation program once again with our dedicated Planning & Economic Development team and neighborhood councils from throughout our city. Thank you to CDO Tim Sheehan, Deputy Development Officer Tina Quagliato Sullivan, Planning Director Phil Dromey, and DPW Director Chris Cignoli for your presentations and City Council President Michael Fenton for joining us. It was an evening filled with great discussions and updates on the many neighborhood projects and initiatives my administration has already implemented and the many more we are working on in partnership with our Neighborhood Councils.  Our Neighborhood Councils are the life-line to our communities, acting as an extra pair of eyes and ears as they share their ideas, thoughts, and the needs of the community with city officials.  Our dedicated city team is looking forward to working with our neighborhood councils to advance these many great projects and initiatives for the betterment of all our residents and business community.”
