Mayor Sarno states, “I want to applaud and thank Caring Health Center President and CEO Tania Barber and her dedicated team and staff for their continued efforts working to bring quality health care access to our community. Caring Health is celebrating 30 years of serving our community and has touched the lives of over 600,00 patients, they are a long-trusted source for comprehensive health services. As President and CEO Tania Barber stated so eloquently today – with this completely transformed property, their state-of-the-art space reflects the high-quality care they provide. Also mentioned today was the job creation aspects and many other positive spin-off effects that come along with a well-supported, high quality and culturally sensitive health center that is run with intention vision, as Ms. Barber has demonstrated. My city team and I are proud to have been able to provide pandemic recovery support, and we are proud to support CHC in bringing more of these important services into our community and congratulate them on this milestone new health center.”

The Boston Road facility will provide comprehensive adult and pediatric medical care and dental and behavioral health services, as well as a pharmacy, ensuring accessible and integrated healthcare for residents. Designed to better meet the needs of thousands in the Pine Point and Indian Orchard neighborhoods, as well as the surrounding towns of Ludlow, Wilbraham, Monson and Palmer, this new center reflects CHC’s commitment to expanding care and meeting the healthcare demands of our community. As Springfield’s only federally qualified health center, CHC continues to play a vital role in the community’s health and well-being.
