Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined to bring greetings at the Massachusetts Association of Contributory Retirement Systems (MACRS) Annual Kevin J. Regan Conference on Monday morning at the Springfield Sheraton Hotel. Of note, MACRS saw their highest attendance ever at this conference.
Mayor Sarno states, “I want to thank the Massachusetts Association of Contributory Retirement Systems for holding their annual conference here in downtown Springfield at our Springfield Sheraton Hotel. We are especially proud to welcome MACRS to downtown Springfield during the holiday season, as this is the first time the fall conference was held in December. This conference features important updates and discussions about the Commonwealth’s retirement system and best practices to utilize so that our retirement boards can better serve our employees and retirees. Thank you to our Springfield Retirement System Executive Director Susana Baltazar and Deputy Director Teresa M. D’Agostino for being there today. I also want to thank the members, especially President Kathleen Kiely-Becchetti and our very own Springfield Retirement Board member Robert Moynihan who also serves as the Associations Treasurer, for their continued efforts on behalf of our public sector employees and retirees.”
