Mayor Domenic J. Sarno is proud to support Small Business Saturday and has issued a proclamation declaring Saturday, November 30, 2024 as Small Business Saturday in the City of Springfield. The Springfield community continues to support our local businesses as they create jobs, boost our local economy and improve the overall quality of life for our neighborhoods.
Mayor Sarno states, “Small businesses are often the heartbeat of our communities and our Springfield is home to many wonderful small businesses. During this holiday shopping season especially, but also all year long, I encourage everyone to consider the impacts of shopping small and visit and support our local small businesses.”
Mayor Sarno continued, “On Small Business Saturday, I would also like to thank our small businesses for their continued belief, support, and investment in our Springfield. The City also looks to work with small and local businesses whenever possible. I would like to remind all that Springfield is now a Third-Party Certifier of Diverse and Small Businesses. We encourage local businesses to position themselves by becoming certified and thereby expanding their potential and increasing their business opportunities within the Commonwealth, federal and private industry arenas. Good health and God Bless.”
