Mayor Sarno stated, “This is truly a beautiful tribute for the Duquette family. I want to thank PBRM Director Tom Ashe, Peter Krupczak, Tom Dougal and the entire team at our Parks Department for coordinating this special event for the family and for their effort’s day-in and day-out in keep our beautiful neighborhood parks looking good for our residents and families. Archie and Bobby Duquette were dedicated city employees with 42 and 39 years of dedicated service to our Springfield’s Park Department. Their love and passion for our parks, especially Forest Park, is fondly remembered by their family and those who worked with them.”

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Tom Ashe, Executive Director of Parks, Buildings and Recreational Management (PBRM) joined with the Duquette family for a special bench dedication ceremony at Forest Park in memory of Archie Duquette and his son Robert ‘Bobby’ Duquette. Archie worked for 42 years with the city of Springfield’s Parks Department and Bobby worked for 39 years. Their dedication and service to the Parks Department, especially Forest Park, was greatly appreciated.
