Mayor Sarno presented the SSO with a proclamation to honor the start of its 81st season, titled “A Tapestry of Music.” The SSO’s 2024-25 concert season will feature nine performances, each with world themes highlighting the universal language of music that the SSO refers to as its most diverse and creative season to date. Opening night will be on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. at Springfield Symphony Hall.
The Springfield Symphony Orchestra is the largest Massachusetts symphony outside of Boston. It consists of over 65 musicians from the NE region of the United States and Canada, and holds many performances in a given season – as either the full orchestra or in ensemble formats.
