Mayor Sarno Thanks PBRM Executive Director Ashe, his team, and all City Departments for Their Roles in Preparing for the Annual Ride to Remember

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno thanks PBRM Executive Director Ashe, his team and all City Departments for their dedication in preparing for the annual Ride to Remember. The 12th Annual Ride to Remember is set to kick-off on Saturday, September 7th at 8:00 am on Main St. & Boland Way. Bikers will travel through Springfield, Longmeadow, Enfield, Windsor Locks, Hartford, Windsor, Suffield, Agawam, West Springfield, before finishing their 70-mile bike ride back in Springfield.

Mayor Sarno states, “Thank you to Parks, Buildings, Recreation and Management Executive Director Tom Ashe, his team, and all City of Springfield Departments who are assisting the Ride to Remember riders, and their organizers. The Alain Beauregard and Michael Schiavina monument located at Mary Lynch School is a beautiful dedication to our fallen officers, thank you for maintaining this monument and continuing the legacy of these officers. Also honored in the Ride to Remember is fallen officer Kevin Ambrose. A special shout-out to retired Springfield Police Sargent, John Delaney, who organizes this event every year to honor our brave and dedicated men and women in blue who gave their lives for our safety.”
