On behalf of the Springfield Water and Sewer Commission, Jack Goncalves & Sons, Inc. will repair water pipes on Westford Circle, between Westford Avenue and Norfolk Street.
The project is anticipated to start the week of July 29, 2024, and continue through the 2024 construction season. Typical construction hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00AM to 4:00PM, weather dependent.
During construction there will be one-lane alternating traffic on Westford Circle, and pedestrian and vehicular traffic will be managed with posted signs and police details. Throughout the duration of the project, on-street parking will be restricted in the construction zone.
The Westford Circle Water Improvement Project is being completed as part of the Commission’s $550 Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Renewal Program (WWIRP), a portfolio of more than 20 infrastructure renewal projects to modernize water infrastructure and improve service reliability and efficiency. The pipes being replaced as part of the Westford Circle Water Improvement Project include water mains that date back to 1911. The Commission appreciates the patience of residents, businesses, pedestrians, and drivers while this important work is performed.
