|   City News

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, Executive Director of Parks, Buildings and Recreational Management (PBRM) Tom Ashe, Deputy Director of Parks Peter Krupczak, and Chief of Staff Bill Baker met with Solomon Bayman, Director of ROCA of Western Massachusetts, to thank him and his team for their continued efforts and partnership keeping our community clean and providing individuals a second chance.

Mayor Sarno states, “Always a pleasure to sit down and catch up with Solomon Bayman. A former all-star running back for our High School of Commerce Red Raiders, he and his team at ROCA do an amazing job – of note, the ROCA Western Mass chapter is one of the busiest and most successful in the state, if not the entire nation. My administration is proud to have funded and partnered with ROCA to not only help keep our neighborhoods clean but just as important provide youth and young adults that are at-risk of going down the wrong path with our judicial system a second chance by offering a solid foundation to better their lives and choose this innovative model to say no to violence and criminal activity. This is yet one of the numerous initiatives and programs my administration has funded and supported providing outreach and services for at-risk youth.”

Baymon, an all-star running back for the High School of Commerce football team, has over twenty years of experience in the Criminal Justice System, serving as a Deputy Warden
