The Department of Public Works Solid Waste Division wishes to inform the residents of Springfield who have municipal trash, recycling and yard waste collection scheduled for Wednesday June 19th, Thursday June 20th, and Friday June 21st 2024 that pick up will begin at 5:00 am due to the anticipated heat and forecasted with temperatures reaching into the 90’s with humidity and a high heat index.
Please have your trash and recycling barrels by the curb no later than 4:30 am, on Wednesday June 19th, Thursday June 20th, and Friday June 21st 2024.
Those residents that have scheduled bulk collection are to have the items curbside at 4:30 am as well.
