Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined with Dr. Frank Robinson, his family, colleagues and community to present him with a special proclamation and wish him well as he retires after a long career of public service on Wednesday evening at a retirement celebration at the Barney Carriage House in Forest Park. Health and Human Services Commissioner Helen Caulton-Harris, State Representative Brian Ashe, and Michael Knapik. Vice President, Government & Community Relations at Baystate Health also joined.
Throughout his 28 years of service, Dr. Frank Robinson he has served as Vice President of Baystate Health, as the Executive Director of Partners for a Healthier Community, and the Director of Community Health Planning. One of Dr. Robinson’s most significant contributions of leadership is the founding of Baystate Academy Charter Public School in 2013 and the establishment of the Baystate Springfield Educational Partnership at Baystate Health.
Mayor Sarno stated, “Dr. Robinson has served our community with compassion and professionalism for many dedicated years, centering on health in our Springfield community and beyond. I am also grateful for Frank’s work in collaboration with my administration in support of the Commonwealth’s Digital Equity Partnership Program. He served as the regional leader in advancing efforts in Western Mass with the Anchor Collaborative and Alliance for Digital Equity. Dr. Robinson’s leadership and dedication to advancing public health in Springfield will leave a lasting impact. I wish him continued good health and success on a very well-deserved retirement. Dr. Robinson has touched the lives of many in his selfless quest to impact the Springfield Community and help it continue to evolve. Having been called a true visionary throughout his line of work, the connections he has sustained and his persistence to achieve lasting impacts define Dr. Robinson’s influence and are a testament to the number of people who hold him in the highest regard.
