Mayor Sarno Wishes Dave Cruise a Happy Retirement

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined President & CEO of MassHire Hampden County Workforce Board David M. Cruise last evening to present him with a special proclamation and wish him well as he retires after a long career of public service.

Cruise has served the MassHire Hampden County Workforce Board since 2013. Before serving as President, Cruise served as the Director of Business and Employment Services for MassHire and also worked as the Personnel Director with the Springfield Public Schools. In 2018, then Governor Charlie Baker tapped Cruise to be the business representative on the Massachusetts Board of Early Education and Care. Throughout his career he has been an instrumental partner in bringing together educational institutions, industry and government to enhance and connect our local workforce and economic opportunity initiatives.

Mayor Sarno stated, “Always, always the gentleman, Dave Cruise is one of the kindest people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Dave always strives to put and keep people on a positive path forward. He has served our community with compassion and professionalism for many dedicated years and I wish him continued good health and success on a very well-deserved retirement. Thank you, Dave, and God Bless.”
