Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Mayoral Aide Genesis Velez-Roque welcomed Pastor Juan Feliciano of Calvary’s Love Church today. Pastor Feliciano expressed his respect and support of Mayor Sarno’s efforts standing up for our residents, businesses and neighborhoods, especially the mayor’s efforts to enhance public safety and taking a stand against repeat violent criminal offenders that get released by some judges and the courts.
Mayor Sarno states, “I deeply appreciate Pastor Juan Feliciano’s support and standing with me and my administration against the way some judges and our courts treat violent repeat criminal offenders by releasing these dangerous individuals back onto our streets and into our neighborhoods. Too often we see our brave and dedicated men and women of our Springfield Police Department re-arresting the same 1-2% of violent criminals. Where is the compassion and respect to our residents and businesses, especial those victimized by these criminal acts of violence? Public safety will continue to be my administrations number one priority and I greatly appreciate Pastor Juan Feliciano and his Calvary’s Love Church continued dedicated community outreach efforts in support of this cause."
