Mayor Sarno states, “We are thrilled to be able to offer this lifeguard training course for free to our Springfield Public Schools students during their school vacation week in April. Getting trained and certified early in the year can lead to great summer job opportunities as a certified lifeguard. I encourage our Springfield Public Schools students to explore this opportunity. Thank you to Aquatics Director Joe Federico and our dedicated Aquatics team for their continued efforts throughout the year to provide safe, healthy, and fun aquatics facilities and programs.”
Persons 15 years of age and over can register for the course. Please see the attached flyer for course times.
The program certifications are free for students of Springfield Public Schools.
Cost for the program is $175.00 (cash or check only) per person for Springfield residents and $225.00 for non-City residents. All fees must be paid by the first day of class.
