Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined today with Chief of Staff Tom Ashe, Chief Development Officer Tim Sheehan, Springfield Redevelopment Authority Executive Director Amanda Pham, Gloria Cordes Larson (interim Executive Director) at the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (MCCA), and MassMutual Center General Manager Sean Dolan to hear updates and discuss the city’s continued partnership, synergy, and ongoing economic development initiatives.
Mayor Sarno states, “Thank you to MCCA interim Executive Director Gloria Cordes Larson and MassMutual Center General Manager Sean Dolan and their teams for joining to meet with us today. We are excited about the economic development benefits of our continued partnership. From our strategic investment in the new and almost complete Civic Center Parking Garage, Bruce Landon Way, and the new entry way area developments for the corner of State and Main streets, to the record numbers of visitors coming to a diverse line up of events and performances right here in the heart of our downtown Springfield – I commend the MCCA, the MassMutual Center, my development team including CDO Tim Sheehan and SRA Director Amanda Pham, and all our partners who continue to support the growth of our Springfield. The multiplier effects from this positive economic growth can be seen and felt throughout the region. There is more work to do and we are planning and preparing for the future growth and development of our community.”
