Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, Hon ’16, joined with President Hubert Benitez, the Board of Trustees and the dedicated team at American International College (AIC) for the opening of their newly redesigned and outfitted Saremi Center for Career Development. The Center, named in honor of its benefactors, AIC alum and Board of Trustee member Kevin Saremi, ’83, Hon ’16, and his wife and fellow alum, Deborah Saremi, serves students at the College by establishing major-to-career pathways for all academic programs with embedded service-learning opportunities.

Mayor Sarno states, “Thank you to trustee K. Kevin Saremi for your continued belief and investment in our Springfield and AIC.  Congratulations to President Benitez and his team and staff at AIC.  The reopening of their Saremi Center for Career Development is a important element of their campus that directly connects their students with career opportunities.  As a matter of fact, one of my most recent interns, Rose McCaffrey, an AIC graduate who studied Political Science, Public Relations and Media Communications, participated with the Center and did an incredible job in my office, gaining important work experience that complemented her educational studies.  Also, my youngest daughter, Chiara, graduated Salutatorian in 2022.”
