In 1996, Attorney Breck was promoted to Second Associate City Solicitor, serving for ten years until being promoted again to Deputy City Solicitor in 2006. Throughout her city career, Kathy has been the utmost professional and unwavering advocate for the best interests of the city of Springfield. She is a well-respected member of our legal community and valued member of the law department.

Mayor Sarno stated, “This is bittersweet.  Attorney Breck, Kathy, will be dearly missed.  Always the professional, Kathy is known for her poise, patience, and grace.  She played an integral part of my administration throughout her career.  Her steadfast commitment and dedication to public service is second-to-none and she is a well-respected member of the legal community.  Congratulations Kathy, wishing you continued good health and success on a very happy and well-deserved retirement.”
