Eastern States Exposition President and CEO Gene Cassidy said the donation of premium 4-H beef will help feed the hungry in the community, and draws attention to the importance of understanding agriculture, farmers and production livestock in our daily lives.
“These important 4-H youth programs support the hard work of young agriculturists who are destined to be the food producers of the future. The Exposition is committed to excellence in the development and promotion of agriculture education. We remain dedicated to 4-H and this donation brings our mission full circle,” he said.
Mayor Sarno states, “I cannot thank ESE President and CEO Gene Cassidy and the Eastern States Exposition enough for their very generous and thoughtful donation to our Friends of the Homeless and Open Pantry.
