The tree also features a model train that was fabricated by Amherst Rail Society and travels around the tree.
Mayor Sarno stated, “I want to thank SRA Director Amanda Pham and her dedicated SRA team for creating such a beautiful and wonderful tree lighting event to kickoff the busy holiday travel season in our beautiful and historic Springfield Union Station. The halls of Union Station filled with joy from the musical singing talents of our wonderful Central High School student choir.
