Mayor Sarno joined with the Springfield Merrill Lynch Office for ‘Merrill Day’ in the City of Springfield

|   City News

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined with the local Springfield Merrill Lynch Office to present a proclamation to recognize ‘Merrill Day’ in the City of Springfield. Forty years ago, former Mayor Theodore (Teddy) Dimauro issued a proclamation declaring November 16, 1982 as ‘Merrill Lynch Day’. Mayor Sarno is proud to continue this tradition and join with Merrill Resident Director James Capella and his dedicated staff of the Springfield branch office to present a proclamation declaring November 16, 2023 as ‘Merrill Day’ in the City of Springfield.

Mayor Sarno states, “I want to thank Merrill Resident Director James Capella for reaching out to my office after finding former Mayor Theodore Dimauro’s proclamation from 1982.  Mayor Dimauro was a good friend and a great mayor.  It is my pleasure to join with the team at Merrill to continue this tradition by presenting another mayoral proclamation recognizing ‘Merrill Day’ in the City of Springfield.  I want to also thank the entire team at Merrill for their continued belief and investment in our City of Springfield.”
