Mayor Sarno states, “Patrick Sullivan and I wanted to use the newly renovated Monkey House at Forest Park to host a luncheon event for our dedicated parks, facilities and forestry employees, so that we could thank them for their continued efforts day-in and day-out. These employees do a tremendous job for our city, taking care of our neighborhood parks and open spaces, our municipal buildings and our trees, and their efforts are deeply appreciated. Often times they get the calls, emails or work orders to go and do a job. Pat and I wanted to say thank you. Even though our residents and businesses may not always see them and their work, they are appreciated and none of the over $111 million invested into our parks and over $750 million into building new schools and renovating existing ones could have been done without their efforts.”
