|   Community News

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined with Paul Picknelly to drop the ceremonial puck at the Springfield Thunderbirds game on Sunday, October 15th as the T-Birds took on their divisional rival, the Providence Bruins.

Mayor Sarno states, “I was honored to join with Paul Picknelly, the Italian Cultural Center of Western Massachusetts and the Springfield UNICO as we dropped the ceremonial puck to kick off the Springfield Thunderbirds game on Sunday, as we continue to celebrate Italian-American heritage month in the City of Springfield.  It was a great game where our beloved T-Birds picked up their first win of the season!  I am looking forward to attending more home games this season to cheer on our T-Birds as they make another run for the Calder Cup!”
