Mayor Sarno states, “Congratulations to the iconic John Boyle O’Reilly Club as we celebrate the groundbreaking of their new pavilion. The JBO is such a staple in our community and a hub for our Springfield’s Irish community. I am proud that my administration continues to support their efforts and the wonderful programs and events they offer, including the $250,000 of ARPA funding that helped to support their outdoor dining spaces. The JBO, like many other restaurants and pouring establishments were hit very hard during the COVID-19 pandemic as they lost their steady stream of revenue and were barely able to survive. This new pavilion will enhance their operations and allow them to expand and flourish for years to come.”
