Mayor Sarno welcomes Dr. Kamal Ali and Mr. Mahmoud

Mayor Sarno states, “It is always a pleasure to sit down and talk with my old dear friend, Dr. Kamal Ali, who grew up and still resides in Springfield.  Dr. Ali is such a good, kindhearted and down to earth gentleman, and a strong interfaith leader and someone who I affectionately and respectfully call him the Godfather of Urban Education program at Westfield State University, which allowed our urban youth to continue their pursuit of their education and career path.  As always, I am thankful to Dr. Ali and our growing Muslim community for their continued investment and belief in our Springfield.  I look forward to continuing to work with them.”
