Mayor Sarno stops by Rebecca Johnson School to view Progress on Ruth Carter Mural

Mayor Sarno states, “The mural to honor one of Springfield’s most accomplished daughters, Ruth E. Carter, is coming along nicely.  My administration is proud to support and fund this important project to acknowledge Ruth.  This mural, located on our Rebecca Johnson Elementary School, will not only honor Ruth, but help to inspire our Springfield youth that through education and hard work they can and will succeed to accomplish their dreams.  Special shoutout to the talented artists for their amazing work too.  I am looking forward to its finish and once again being with Ruth as we officially unveil her mural.”
