Statement on Behalf of Croteau Family

|   City News

On behalf of the Croteau family, Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Families Against Violence Executive Director Francena Brown are issuing a joint statement.

The Croteau Family will not be doing any media interviews and this will be their only statement.  They are asking for everyone to respect their privacy during this difficult and tragic time.

“I want to thank everyone for their outpouring of support, thoughts, sympathy, prayers and words of encouragement, especially to the responding police officers and paramedics.  Please, this is a very difficult time for our family.  I would like to ask the media and everyone to please respect our privacy during this difficult and tragic time.  The outpouring of love and support, near and far, is overwhelming.  We are eternally grateful.”  ---- Stephanie Croteau.

Mayor Sarno, states “As a father of two daughters, there are no words to express my feelings about this tragic loss of life.  No family should have to go through this.  On behalf of the family, please I ask for everyone to respect their privacy during this difficult time.  Although they appreciate the outreach and support, they need time to heal, and I and my administration will continue to work with the Croteau family.”

Francena Brown states, “As too many of us know, this is a tragic and difficult time for the family.  They appreciate everyone’s overwhelming outreach and support but right now the family needs time to heal.  Please let us respect their wishes.”

On the request of the Croteau family, any media inquiries to the family should be directed to Mayor Sarno’s Office and to Francena Brown, Families Against Violence.  Thank you.
