Mayor Sarno enjoys some Music from Frank Manzi Band outside of One Financial Plaza

|   City News

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Chief of Staff Tom Ashe stopped by One Financial Plaza on Wednesday, August 16th to enjoy some music from the Frank Manzi Band as they were performing as part of One Financial Plaza’s Live Music Wednesday’s Lunchtime Summer 2023 Concert Series. Frank Manzi has been performing across Western Massachusetts for nearly 3 decades and is a passionate signer and writer, straight out of the Springsteen/Mellencamp school of rock.

Mayor Sarno states, “As I was walking back to City Hall from an announcement with Secretary of State William Galvin in Court Square, I heard the rocking and blues tunes from the Frank Manzi Band and I had to stop by and listen for a song.  What a wonderful event Evan Plotkin and his team at One Financial Plaza has put on.  This Live Music Wednesday’s Lunchtime Summer Concert Series provides our downtown workers and residents getting lunch or just visiting with some enjoyable live music out on the plaza area.”

“The vibrancy and energy of our downtown continues to grow with the numerous and successful events, initiatives and programs – from Enshrinement Weekend, the Springfield Jazz and Roots Festival, the Ironman competition event, all of the sold out and national acclaimed shows and concerts at the MassMutual Center, Symphony Hall and MGM Springfield, the new Big Y Express grocery store at Tower Square, and more.  Springfield is back and thriving!”
