Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined with the Springfield Police, Fire and School Departments today along with American Medical Response (AMR) and the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) for Active Shooter Training. Mayor Sarno addressed the contingent of dedicated personnel and thanked them for their initiative in keeping our students and staff safe at all times.
Mayor Sarno states, “Public safety and security remains my top priority for each and every one of our residents, especially our students and school environments. We are so proud of the hard work of our Springfield Public Schools and all our students and we will continue to be prepared to keep them safe as they learn and grow to become our future leaders. I commend and thank our police, fire, and school departments for their professionalism and commitment to the safety of our community and our partners MEMA and AMR for their dedication and support as well for the overall safety and security of our Springfield.”
