Mayor Sarno, Councilor Lavar Click-Bruce and the Ford-Capdeville Brothers Excited for the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Enshrinement Ceremony

Mayor Sarno states, “City Councilor and Coach Lavar Click-Bruce and I are excited to see the 2023 Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Enshrinement Ceremony once again highlight our City of Springfield.  This world-class event will celebrate the careers of some of the best basketball players and coaches in the sport.  We also enjoyed sharing this day with two smart and talented young men, the Ford brothers, sons of my Mayoral Aide Shenell Ford.  They love seeing how our Symphony Hall is decorated in advance of this Hall of Fame event.  Hey, maybe one day in the future we’ll be attending their Hall of Fame enshrinement ceremony!  As Coach Lavar always says, hard work and a commitment to your education will provide you with endless possibilities.  These two young men and all of our students are the future of our city, and it is our job as parents, coaches, mentors and role models to make sure that they grow up in a fun and nurturing environment where they have the opportunity to grow and be successful.”
