Mayor Sarno welcomes special visit from Olivia and Family

Mayor Sarno states, “The best meeting of my day.  It was a pleasure to welcome Olivia and her family today.  She is such a sweet and bright young girl.  Along with sharing her excitement for the summer and starting 1^st grade next year, she shared with me that one of her favorite books was Springfield’s own Theodor ‘Dr. Seuss’ Geisel’s book, ‘The Cat in the Hat’.  She asked some very good and thoughtful questions, and mentioned how much fun she had when her family took her to visit our beloved World of Dr. Seuss Museum and the Sculpture Garden that features many of the characters from his books.  Olivia, everyone here in the Mayor’s Office wishes you a happy and fun-filled summer and a wonderful time as you continue your education in first grade.”
