Mayor Sarno to Convene Meeting with Public Safety Partners to Discuss Increased Patrols on City Streets

Mayor Sarno states, “I have spoken to Police Superintendent Cheryl Clapprood with regards to an uptick of violent crimes committed in day light hours across our city and I intend to take forceful action to rectify this trend.  I am very disturbed and concerned about this activity.  Early next week Police Superintendent Clapprood and I will meet with our State and Federal public safety partners to discuss remedies and to implement our action plan.  We will not tolerate this brazen activity.  People must feel safe on our streets.”
