Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, joined by Mayoral Aide Shenell Ford, met today with Pastor Atu White who serves as Pastor of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church here in Springfield and also manages the Dunbar Community Center. Pastor White also serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Springfield International Charter School.
Mayor Sarno states, “It was a pleasure to meet with Pastor Atu White today of the Mount Zion Baptist Church. He gave updates on the continued activities and partnerships taking place at the Dunbar Community Center. They do great work there with afterschool programs, meal programs, wellness programs, and education. We hope to work together to expand with more programs as we come out of the COVID-19 pandemic. I always look forward to meetings with Pastor White – he is always the gentleman and community man.”
