Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and the City of Springfield recognized the month of May as Lupus Awareness Month with a proclamation. May 10 is World Lupus Day and is a time to help spread awareness about lupus and its impact on millions of people from around the world living with this chronic and debilitating disease. World Lupus Day was established in 2004 and helps educate the world about the impacts of lupus as well as bring greater attention and resources to efforts to end lupus.
