Mayor Sarno attends Opening Day for the Dominican Softball League

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined with the South End Citizens Council in attending the opening day ceremony for the Dominican Softball League on Sunday, May 7th at Emerson Wight Park.

Mayor Sarno states, “Spring is here and so is the return of America’s pastime – Baseball and Softball. I want to thank our Dominican community for inviting me and for everything they do to enhance the beautiful mosaic that is our Springfield community. Special shoutout to Vladimir Cáceres, former DPW civil engineer and now working for MassDOT, for all that he does for our Springfield. So come on down to our Emerson Wight Park on Sunday to watch some great softball as the Dominican Softball League celebrates their opening day – Play Ball!”
