Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Schools Superintendent Daniel Warwick joined and brought greetings at the Massachusetts Teachers Association (MTA) annual meeting at the MassMutual Center on Friday. This is the first year Springfield is hosting the MTA annual meeting featuring delegates and over 1,000 educators from across the Commonwealth including the Springfield Education Association (SEA).
Mayor Domenic J. Sarno states, “I want to thank the MTA for holding their annual meeting right here in Springfield. Our teachers and educators play such an important and vital role not only educating our students but also providing them with a safe and nurturing environment to grow both in and out of the classroom. The MTA is dedicated to representing our teachers when it comes to issues both locally, across the state and nationally, representing their interest in Boston and Washington D.C.”
