Mayor Sarno and Police Superintendent Clapprood hold special Retirement Celebration for Deputy Chief William Cochrane

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Police Superintendent Cheryl Clapprood joined with the Springfield Police Department command staff and the brave and dedicated men and women of the Police Department to wish Deputy Chief William ‘Bill’ Cochrane a happy, healthy and well-deserved retirement. Deputy Chief Cochrane is retiring after a distinguished 40-year career with the Springfield Police Department.

Mayor Sarno states, “Congratulations to Deputy Chief William ‘Bill’ Cochrane on a well-deserved retirement – bitter-sweet.  Deputy Chief Cochrane has served our Springfield community with great honor and distinction for over 40-years and our Springfield Police Department truly benefited from his service.  Police Superintendent Cheryl Clapprood and I, and all of the brave and dedicated men and women in Blue, want to join with your family and friends in wishing you continued good health and best wishes.  Congratulations!”
