City of Springfield Recognizes National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno is proud to join with Fire Commissioner BJ Calvi, Police Superintendent Cheryl Clapprood, and Deputy Chief David Wells to recognize National Public Safety Telecommunicators week here in Springfield.

Mayor Sarno states, “The work that our Emergency Communications team, including our 9-1-1 dispatchers do is ‘front line’ critical and deeply appreciated in enhancing our public safety response and attack. We are proud to recognize our dispatchers for their dedication to carrying out their critical role in our emergency response efforts. Our Springfield 911 Center is the 2nd busiest 911 center in Massachusetts. Our dedicated team of dispatchers are the first link in the response chain and we are truly grateful for their professionalism and commitment to serving our community.”
