Springfield City Hall Becomes Newest “Springfield Safe Space”

Springfield City Hall joined a dozen other Springfield establishments today as a designated Safe Space. The Safe Space Springfield Initiative is a partnership between Springfield's Department of Health and Human Services and the Springfield Pride Parade organization.

The Safe Space Springfield initiative asks local businesses to commit to the safety of their patrons regardless of identification and/or orientation, race or gender. This safe space commitment disavows any form of hate and/or discrimination within the establishment and promotes inclusiveness, public health equity and welcomes all! By displaying the custom Safe Space Springfield decal here at City Hall, Mayor Sarno and the city are proudly showing our commitment to being a safe space. All patrons to City Hall are welcome no matter your creed, color, religion, background, orientation, or identity.

If you would like to get your establishment involved, learn more here.
