Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined this afternoon with restaurant owner Kenny Lumpkin, partner Dr. Mark Markarian, and their team for the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for the new All American Sports Bar, Grill & Patio located at 459 Dwight Street in Springfield.

Mayor Sarno helped cut the ribbon at Mr. Lumpkin’s second Springfield establishment and City Councilors Jesse Lederman, Maria Perez, and Justin Hurst also joined and issued a proclamation. Health and Human Services Commissioner Helen Caulton-Harris, and the Chairwoman of License Commission Rosa Espinosa were also in attendance. Springfield Thunderbirds President Nate Costa, joined by mascot Boomer, came by to present Kenny with a framed T-Birds jersey to display at All American.

Mayor Sarno states, “Mr. Kenny Lumpkin and his team have done a truly fantastic job with Dewey’s Lounge down on Restaurant Row over on Worthington Street – from the hospitality, to the entertainment, to the great food and award-winning cocktails. We are so proud and excited to see Kenny open a second establishment in our downtown Springfield and expand our restaurant district further down Dwight Street. I appreciate Kenny’s words that my administration and the city have been very welcoming and supportive of new businesses. We are truly proud to see businesses like Kenny’s grow and succeed here in our city. The new All American sports bar has a comfortable sport-watching atmosphere and I know Kenny will serve up some great food and drinks too. Congratulations to the All American team and continued success.”

The restaurant will be open to the public today at 5:00pm. Visit www.allamericansportsbar.com.
