Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, Chief Administrative and Financial Officer (CAFO) TJ Plante, Deputy CAFO Lindsay Hackett, and Chief of Staff Tom Ashe continued Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 budget hearings today with department heads from Health & Human Services, TJ O’Connor Animal Control, Elder Affairs, the Library, and Veterans Services each presenting their budget requests.
Mayor Sarno said, “As we continue to move through our FY24 budget hearings I am pleased to say we are ahead of schedule. We have also been able to hear some great updates and highlights from our city departments along with their budget requests. Not only am I very proud of our sound fiscal management and the award-winning finance team under the leadership of CAFO TJ Plante, I am extremely proud of our entire city team’s commitment to serving our Springfield and providing services in an efficient, effective, strategic and compassionate way – no matter the challenge before us.”
Today was the third day of FY2024 hearings, which are scheduled to conclude tomorrow Thursday, March 30, 2023. All hearings are open to the public and will be held in City Hall, Room 205.
