Mayor Sarno and Deputy Director of Veterans Services DeCaro meet with Springfield Veterans Activities Committee Chairman Bill Walls

Mayor Sarno states, “Deputy Director Joe DeCaro and I want to thank Bill Walls for taking the time to meet and providing us with an update from our Springfield Veterans Activities Committee and their plans to observe Vietnam Veteran’s Day.  This annual ceremony is held every year at our Vietnam War Memorial on Veterans Way located at Court Square.  I want to also thank all of the committee members and our Veterans Services staff for their continue efforts on behalf of our Veterans too.  America is still the greatest Nation on Earth.  We are the beacon of democracy, strength and opportunity, thanks to the sacrifices and dedication of our proud Veterans and their families.  God Bless the United States of America and God Bless our Veterans.”
