2 Hour Delay for Springfield City Hall and Municipal Buildings

Due to the timing of this anticipated inclement weather forecasted and out of an abundance of caution there will be a two (2) hour delay for the opening of Springfield City Hall and municipal buildings. City Hall and municipal buildings will open at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2023.

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno states, “Due to the timing of this anticipated inclement weather and snowstorm, and upon the recommendation of emergency preparedness officials, Springfield City Hall and all municipal buildings will have a 2-hour delay in opening in order to clear the areas of snow. Please, if possible, stay off the roads and let our DPW and plowing crews do their job of plowing our streets. I also want to remind everyone about the parking ban that will be in effect starting 7:00 pm tonight, Monday, February 27, 2023. Abiding by the parking ban will greatly help our plowing operations and will make if safe for everyone. I want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding. Stay safe and God Bless.”
