The Jazz and Roots Festival is the city of Springfield’s premier annual event that brings together thousands of people from across the region and around the globe right here in the heart of Springfield. The event includes the traditional Second Line Parade, a New Orleans Mardi Gras tradition in honor of the late Charles Neville.
Mayor Sarno states, “Our beloved Jazz and Roots Festival is a wonderful, high-energy and family friendly event that showcases the beautiful mosaic and diversity of our city. I want to thank Kristin Neville, Evan Plotkin, Vanessa Ford and team, especially all of the benefactors, for their continued belief, support and dedicated efforts in keeping this iconic Festival going strong.
