Mayor Sarno Joins with Sheriff Cocchi and SPD C3 for All-Star Basketball Game at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined with Hampden County Sheriff Nick Cocchi, the Holyoke Safe Neighborhood Initiative and the Springfield Police Department Forest Park and Mason Square C3 to bring greetings at the C3 all-star basketball game at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame (BHOF) last night. Springfield’s Director of Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Tony Pettaway served as the Master of Ceremonies, Michael Scott from the HCSD performed the national anthem, and Steve Tower from the BHOF welcomed everyone to the Hall of Fame’s Center Court. Mayor Sarno, Sheriff Cocchi, Deputy Police Chief Rupert Daniels joined to speak and get the players pumped up for the game.

Mayor Sarno states, “I am always so proud to join with Sheriff Nick Cocchi and his dedicated team, especially Ed Caisse, for this annual tradition of the All-Star Hoops basketball game at our Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.  The brave and dedicated men and women of our Springfield Police Department Forest Park and Mason Square C3 make this game and entire program a truly meaningful and fun experience for our children and families. Whether on the court, in the classroom, or out in the community, we are so proud of our all-stars and grateful to all who support them.”
