Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined with Director of Veterans’ Services Tom Belton, Deputy Director Joe DeCaro and Veterans’ Services staff today to recognize, thank, and celebrate Emmanual K. Owusu. Mr. Owusu has served in Springfield’s Veterans’ Services Department as an investigator since 2018 and is moving on to a new role with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Mayor Sarno states, “We have been so fortunate have Emmanual on our devoted Veterans’ Services team for the last five years – he is such a humble and truly dedicated professional. Emmanual is also a veteran himself and served as our 2019 Veterans Day Parade Marshall. This is certainly bittersweet as he has done a tremendous job for our city, our veterans, and their families and he will be missed. We are very proud of Emmanual and wish him continued success.
