Mayor Sarno congratulated and welcomed new Vice Chair Naylor on her very special moment and looks forward to working with her, our School Committee members and Superintendent Warwick on more continued positive gains for our school system. Mayor Sarno also thanked outgoing and longtime Vice Chair Chris Collins on his sound leadership during some very unprecedented times.

The Springfield School Committee held their 2023 organizational meeting on Tuesday, January 3rd, unanimously electing School Committeewoman LaTonia Monroe Naylor as Vice Chair, as her family and friends looked on. School Committee member Chris Collins previously served as Vice Chair. Mayor Domenic J. Sarno serves as Chair. Superintendent Daniel Warwick, City Council President Jesse Lederman, State Senator Adam Gomez, and State Representatives Carlos Gonzalez and Orlando Ramos were also in attendance.
