The City of Springfield in collaboration with the DOJ Settlement Agreement presents the following four proposed policies which are in accordance with standards set forth by Massachusetts General Law, the Municipal Police Training Council, Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission, and the Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) Commission.
The four new policy proposals are:
1) Use of Force Investigation and Review
2) Use of Force Reporting
3) Foot Pursuit
4) Vehicle Pursuit
