Springfield Water and Sewer Commission Accepting Applications for Customer Assistance Program (CAP)

Customer Assistance Program (CAP) Application

The Springfield Water and Sewer Commission has recently announced that they are now accepting applications for its Customer Assistance Program (CAP) for FY23. The CAP is intended to help low-income customers with their water and sewer bills by providing a one-time, annual credit of up to $250. This year, the CAP credit has doubled from $125 to up to $250 to assist homeowners in managing their water and sewer bills. See the flyer with more information on the CAP as well as other assistance programs offered by the Commission.

Eligibility guidelines for the CAP include:

  • Customers living in owner-occupied single-family residences with a water and/or sewer account with the Commission  
  • Active Commission account with annual charges of at least $250 (or may receive a reduced, proportionally based credit for annual charges less than $250)  
  • Currently qualify for low-income heating fuel assistance (LIHEAP)
  • Applications for FY23 open through June 30, 2023, for as long as funding is available

Solicitud Del Programa De Asistencia Al Cliente (CAP)

El Programa de Asistencia al Cliente (CAP) está destinado a apoyar a los propietarios de bajo ingresos, de una sola vivienda, con cuentas de servicio de agua y/o alcantarillado con la Comisión.   Los clientes elegibles y aprobados pueden recibir un crédito único hasta $250.  Los clientes deberán someter su solicitud anualmente.
